The culmination of the 77th Cannes Film Festival is approaching. For nearly two weeks, all festival participants have “entered a parallel universe and plunged into darkness to find light”. The red carpet showcased not only directors, producers, and actors, but also business personalities and notable individuals from diverse industries.
One of the official guests of the Cannes Film Festival was Azganush (Aza) Misakyan, a founder of the International EdTech company Ycla Coding. Despite the festival’s busy schedule, Aza Misakyan managed to attend the main premiere of “Mad Max,” an official opening ceremony, and a charity gala dinner. The businesswoman shared some behind-the-scenes details of the Cannes Festival.
“Private film screenings are a very interesting and exciting experience in Cannes. You sit surrounded by famous actors and watch the film premiere with them. There is an atmosphere of exclusivity and special magic in the hall. The tandem of Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth (the main characters of ‘Mad Max’) impressed me, especially Anya Taylor-Joy. After her roles as a gentle heroine, the character she played in this film and how well she played it will definitely open doors for her to roles of a completely different category”, – says Aza Misakyan.
According to the businesswoman, being an official guest of the event means, first of all, having the opportunity to be close to celebrities and receiving a powerful dose of energy and motivation from them.
“As part of the film festival, the Palme d’Or for monumental contribution to cinema was awarded to Meryl Streep. A legendary woman! The selection of films shown before her appearance brought back nostalgia for her old works, such as “Death Becomes Her”, which is the film where I discovered this actress. Undoubtedly, her role in “The Devil Wears Prada” from her recent works impressed me. But not everyone knows that this talented actress was once rejected from filming the movie “King Kong” because “she wasn’t beautiful enough”. Her success story is inspiring, and I was pleased to be in the same room with her”.
By the way, the preparation for the Cannes Film Festival takes several months, and choosing outfits for the red carpet is a true art. For the opening ceremony, Aza Misakyan chose an airy dress from the Japanese brand established in Vietnam Hacchic Couture, which caused a stir among the guests and was captured by many cameras. The jewelry for the festival was provided to Aza Misakyan by the fashion house Tiffany & Co.

The social aspect and focus on protecting the planet in the fight against climate change also became an important part of the film festival. A charity gala dinner RSVP only was held during the event to raise funds for noble causes. There were many celebrities, visionaries, influencers, and successful individuals from the business world among the guests. According to the businesswoman, this gala dinner was an excellent symbiosis of socializing, charity, and networking.
